I think it's neat the amount of different mushrooms you can see walking the same nondescript suburban paths every day.

I've been walking the same route pretty much every day and I've seen probably over a dozen different varieties of cool mushroom (as well as cool birds, cool spiders etc.) and that's probably just because it's the first time I've been looking but I imagine it means I should walk around more areas.

As a huge New York Style Hot Dog fan for years, felt compelled to recreate the poster in a high resolution and managed to find the original photo used in the texture

I highly highly recommend giving the show a try if you have Wrestle Universe. I think it's a really unique and wonderful thing, a bit like if your favorite pro wrestling promotion put on a play but the play was also itself pro wrestling.

Today on a wet and windy autumn walk I: heard a super distinct raptor cry, checked on the patch of 3 to 4 dozen amanita mushrooms that are only getting more picturesque so far, and spotted a hummingbird in a tree from its call.
A good day for a walk.

I always really love finding full-on Super Mario-ass amanita mushrooms in random suburban office parks. I fully would have assumed they were restricted to deep forests in Russia or something.

Thinking about Monthly Halloween's movie review system.
Showed my buddy Story of Ricky yesterday, for example, and that's gotta be max ドバドバ, バタバタ, ゲラゲラ, and グログロ but maybe low ハラハラ.
A portion of a review of A Nightmare on Elm Street from issue 5 of Monthly Halloween cover-dated May 1986, including five onomatopoeic categories of ratings from 1-5 pumpkins, very very VERY roughly corresponding to: splatter (of blood) flutter (of departing souls) laughter (of a wicked audience member) gloop (of gore and monsters) palpitation (of suspense) So for example with those awkward glosses Elm Street gets here 5 splatter, 3 flutter, 1 laughter, 4 gloop, and 3 palpitation.
