A cross fox into music-making, adventures, languages, history, and culture. Was a software developer, but trying to heal now. They/he. Queer, agender, and adorably fluffy. 18+ please.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I wanted to like Powerwash Simulator but found it got tedious; this game scratched the itch much more satisfyingly by making the mess a bit more interesting to clean and spacing out the cleanup with sprinkles of exploration and narrative.
Ambrosia Sky is a sad and beautiful mix of Powerwash Simulator and System Shock. A scientist returns to her space-colony home, only to find everyone dead after a fungal outbreak. All there's left to do is clean up, put the lost to rest and try to find meaning in the disaster.
Ambrosia Sky: Act One on Steam
You left. Now they’re dead. Ambrosia Sky: Act One is an immersive sim about exploring an asteroid colony devastated by an unknown contamination. Survive and harvest strains of hostile alien fungi, exp...

So apparently our pride flag was blown clear off the pole last night. They warned us about the snowfall, why not the homophobia?!

More amazing hybrid costume/puppetry stuff.

Suspension-of-disbelief level: even the cameraman points to stuff and interacts as if the character can see anything. 💯

What if this but werewolf?

Anthology's series "Avant-Garde Ads” features "filmmakers – even those who seem [to exemplify] anti-commercial purity and radicalism[, e.g.,] Stan Brakhage, Peter Kubelka, Jordan Belson, Bruce Baillie, Nathaniel Dorsky – have made ads, corporate films, PSAs, or other sponsored works."
Avant-Garde Ads: Part 1
The particular realm of cinema that Anthology Film Archives was put on earth to preserve, present, and celebrate is one that has famously been difficult to label, with filmmakers, programmers, and sch...
