I wanted to like Powerwash Simulator but found it got tedious; this game scratched the itch much more satisfyingly by making the mess a bit more interesting to clean and spacing out the cleanup with sprinkles of exploration and narrative.

"After my final shift for the week last Thursday, my boss pulled me aside and told me I'd been let go (termination without cause) with severance in lieu of a two week notice. That day job paid for all of my rent, plus most of my expenses. The severance I got will cover most of my rent + expenses for one month, but that's it. And it's a very difficult time to be looking for a job right now (my last big job hunt took almost three months for a minimum wage position). My family has offered to lend me a hand for expenses if I need it, and I'm going to be looking into options like EI and art grants to keep me afloat, but other then that, my monthly income is now almost entirely dependent on my artwork. And it's obviously a very difficult time to be trying to make a living as an independent artist right now." I know it's a pretty rough time (understatement) for a lot of folks right now, but if you're able to give some money to help me out while I'm trying to get through this rut, it'd be greatly appreciated. 1. I have a monthly ko-fi membership (Tip Jar) where you can get occasional private WIP updates for as low as 4$ CAD (about 3$ USD) per month! This is great if you don't have the change for a commission or shop items/shipping but want to pitch in a little bit to me! 2. I have an online shop on the same ko-fi! It has stickers, prints, pins, and keychains of my formline art. US shipping is available and prepaid duties (tariffs, derogatory) are factored into the applicable product shipping cost. Great if you're looking for stocking stuffers this holiday season! 3. I take custom commissions for formline art from time to time! The reason I list this last is because comms take the most physical and mental strain of all these options, and the last thing I want to do is burn myself out when I'm already struggling. Update November 22. We’ve updated this article after realising we contributed to a perfect storm of misunderstanding around a recent change in the wording and placement of Gmail’s smart features. The settings themselves aren’t new, but the way Google recently rewrote and surfaced them led a lot of people (including us) to believe Gmail content might be used to train Google’s AI models, and that users were being opted in automatically. After taking a closer look at Google’s documentation and reviewing other reporting, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Gmail does scan email content to power its own “smart features,” such as spam filtering, categorisation, and writing suggestions. But this is part of how Gmail normally works and isn’t the same as training Google’s generative AI models. Google also maintains that these feature settings are opt-in rather than opt-out, although users’ experiences seem to vary depending on when and how the new wording appeared. It’s easy to see where the confusion came from. Google’s updated language around “smart features” is vague, and the term “smart” often implies AI—especially at a time when Gemini is being integrated into other parts of Google’s products. When the new wording started appearing for some users without much explanation, many assumed it signalled a broader shift. We’ve revised this article to reflect what we can confirm from Google’s documentation, as it’s always been our aim to give readers accurate, helpful guidance.

Having done this a week ago, this also unfortunately disables a lot of the useful features that have no business being connected to Gemini (Like the tabs for organizing, that predate Gemini), but now are. Google really be punishing its users for wanting nothing to do with their shitty AI 😒

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
