Wonderful school visit yesterday - invited by a teacher with real passion for reading. School has a great library & librarian. I used a new poem, The Wheels on the Reading Bus, as a prompt. Y6 made it their own. (Poem to appear on Brian Moses’ blog.) Great start to National Year of Reading. #Goallin

Post- Whitley Bay parkrun as part of a 10K. Didn’t necessarily take the most direct route. The book on top of the pile has a Priory Lane stamp - a school in Scunthorpe I left fifty years ago. Finally got round to reading it,so now I can return it. #whitleybay #parkrun #scunthorpe

I had a cheese salad sandwich (with homemade green tomato chutney) & a cuppa, listening to @RebeccaLeek_ s poetic Ditty Bag. You could have a fried egg sandwich, Greek salad or last year’s Christmas pud you forgot all about. Just make sure you give yourself 15 minutes to listen.
