Between ICE ads, poor monetisation, and funding ai-powered war machines I think spotify has had enough time and chances to do better.
Spotify is crashing HARD because of the boycott. Their stock dropped 11% in value over the last month. Let’s keep this going!

True of most things I suppose but I really don’t understand the use case for generative AI with film. It seems like a way to do less precise, scattershot CGI, that would be hell to composite into real footage. Even if you don’t care about the ethical/environmental issues, it sounds annoying!

The only gigs that come my way these days are helping train the AI that will presumably replace me. I turn them down. I hope for the strength of will and financial solvency to turn them down forever. But it’s bleak!

Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.
