But the Dems need to clue in that the Trump cabal (which includes a large number of billionaires) will use any means to stay in power including civil war

Nine out of ten Republicans approve of Trumps performance. That is certainly a different Republican party than pre-Trump. I guess people are tribal. Even if their political party drastically changes people stay with the party.
