@npkk.bsky.social is absolutely right:

Photogrammetry, 3D scans, & #SfM 📷 are fantastic new tools, but they should supplement not replace the proper description and interpretation of archaeological features 🏺& stratigraphies!

Lovely exhibition for kids on bronze age river finds at Limburgs Museum in Venlo. It is inspired by the children book by L. Dielemans (in German titled “Zeit der Bronze”). Goed gedaan!

Interesting to see how well connected the early neolithic sites (LBK) in the Rhineland, Hesse, Westphalia and Bavaria were, regarding stone tool exchange. The exchange with E and SW Germany was less pronounced, however. Looking forward to the results from @hescor.bsky.social. 👍

Fascinating evidence of interaction between the Linear Pottery Culture and the Mesolithic period!

However, I do not agree with the blanket interpretation of earthworks/enclosures as fortifications.

A very interesting site! However, it should be noted that there is also evidence of continuity between the Linear Pottery culture 🏺and the Post-LBK period in certain regions of Central Europe. It is evidence of crisis that makes headlines, not evidence of continuity.

I’m delighted to see that Richard Taylor has won his defamation case against the producers of this film. It was awful to see archaeological colleagues misrepresented, cast as villains to fit a lazy narrative. But remarkably, the producers “remain proud of the film”!
