Dropping 'sacred' stuff in wells seems to be a Roman habit. In the Rhineland we find a lot of Jupiter column fragments in wells. Has this phenomenon been studied superregionally? 🤔

In many places in the book, I was reminded of the works of Daniela Hofmann or Martin Furholt, whom she also quotes. Stefanie Samida takes a similar stance in her German-language book “Molekularbiologie und Archäologie. Eine ungewöhnliche Beziehung.”.
