Watching adults who are young enough to be my children talk about creating a movement of as many people as possible and standing up for democracy every day for as long as it takes gives me hope. I am so proud of the generations coming along and picking up the mantle. I love those Americans.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

There is no legit reason that anyone in this country should go hungry or lack health care. None. If Americans cannot eat, afford a home and take care of their health America is not great and America is a complete failure.
