I'm really glad we're replaced our gas hob with induction hob and heating/hot water gas combi boiler with a heat-pump.
Cheaper to run but crucially no toxic emissions and no leak and associated combustion risk.

Independent testing will be when we find out whether it's hype and hot air or genuinely game changing.
eVTOL and eSTOL begin to get compelling ranges...

I still consider it a preview, though I'm mostly happy with it and only plan on changing minor things and incorporating some feedback.

* up land-use change emissions
* up the ocean sink (now takes up 29% of total emissions)
* down the land sink (now takes up 21% of total emissions)
* the "budget imbalance" now has zero trend

2025 was our first full year as a de-carbonized household so we are now able to review all the monetary and carbon costs of having heat-pump, household battery, solar and an fully electric car.
Our running and carbon costs are now 63% & 93% lower than before transitioning!

We don't know... but a safe bet, IMHO, is 3 years (i.e. 2027 likely to set a new record). Here's why👇

I have wrapped up work on VulkanSceneGraph, vsgXchange and vsgExamples for the year and tagged developer releases of each.
I have created a forum post with details of changes: github.com/vsg-dev/Vulk...

I've been an EV owner for a year now, and 75% of our charging is done overnight between 12:30am and 5:30am aligned with low demand not peak.

Personally I suspect the rapid drop in cost of solar & batteries will drive a move from coal faster than the IEA forecasts.

Insulation level wise we probably fit the "Fully insulated, floors and loft category, again we beat the average of 3.81 by a smidgen.
