Would depend on the data source 😉

Yep and combined with increasing cost of living pressures and academic inflation to get into these positions make it very unsustainable. Of course the sport will survive but the quality of analysis will drop substantially

Can't just data dump on clubs without giving them the cap space to hire the talent to build the pipelines. Just going to end up with the same issues of underpaid, overworked individuals

My understanding is as well that there's a push from cd (not wanting to pay data engineers/software Devs) to get clubs to use an API , but not much support in place.

Well this seems bad, a flood of lawsuits filed based on weak evidence, which in turn is driving how we talk about social harms…

A lot of money, time, and energy is about to be wasted because moral entrepreneurs hate social media more than they actually care about evidence and protecting kids.
In general: Courts + science = bad mix

Study: How court filings against social media frame evidence of harm www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

"Legally cited research on social media health harms lacks strong causal evidence"

"Lawsuits are shaping public conversations about tech harms"

A missed part of this discussion is that even if Haidt is correct, there’s no reason to believe removing social media will have an equal or opposite effect.

There is AJ Tye
Through war
There is AJ Tye

A Southern Summer constant
Bearded
Bowling
In the boneyard overs
Where bowlers are carted
Without remorse over fences

Extraterrestrial weaponry
Defying time and gravity
A Tye that binds

Looking for good sources of raw data for college basketball analytics. Bonuses if there is an API.

I'm OK with a nominal fee or monthly subscription if necessary. Any help?
