When reading up about the congressman's call for AI regulation over Call of Duty: Black Slops 7, I encountered one of the most astonishingly stupid pro-AI arguments I have ever read. These people... they are the dumbest and the richest.

I think I can find common ground with most people, but I'm pretty sure I live on a different planet from people who put decals on their car windshields that tell you what brand the car is. Like are you afraid you'll forget that you drive a Chevy? It's a Chevy, man, not your firstborn.

I'm excited that my story "Witness Trees" is out today from American Literary Review. Partially inspired by the 1989 poisoning of Treaty Oak in Austin (I was in fifth grade when I wrote the tree a get well card), it's been haunting me for a while. I'm so thrilled that ALR has given it a home!
