From now on I've decided to only ever follow people whose pfps are from Twin Peaks: The Return. They are the only good follows on this website. If you're reading this, you're grandfathered in, but you're on thin ice. Fix your hearts or die.
I know I'm like the 3,009th person to think of this, but genAI could never make The Room, and that's the most important reason why no one should ever use it, ever, for anything. If you can't be terrible at something, then it's not worth doing.
a man with long hair is saying everybody betrayed me i 'm fed up with this world
Alt: A gif of Tommy Wiseau in the schlock classic movie The Room, telling a bunch of people how he's fed up with the world. Honestly, mood.

I think I can find common ground with most people, but I'm pretty sure I live on a different planet from people who put decals on their car windshields that tell you what brand the car is. Like are you afraid you'll forget that you drive a Chevy? It's a Chevy, man, not your firstborn.

I left a thank you note for the postman in the mailbox. I don’t know why I did that. I don’t even know him.
I'm excited that my story "Witness Trees" is out today from American Literary Review. Partially inspired by the 1989 poisoning of Treaty Oak in Austin (I was in fifth grade when I wrote the tree a get well card), it's been haunting me for a while. I'm so thrilled that ALR has given it a home!

We are all Mary Sue, and we canonically cannot be stopped.
I invent imaginary dramas, inserting myself as the hero or villain, internalizing all of it personally, and instead of a personality disorder, I call it art

The best part about interacting with young people these days is how easily it exposes the fact that my ability to communicate with anyone about anything is entirely dependent on our mutual knowledge of three specific Simpsons episodes from 1998.
