I'll be honest, this isn't about AI at all, it's about the increased expectations of productivity put on tech workers due to a declining rate of profit. all these new tech cos have sky high 9/9/6 expectations for workers; AI is, like all things, just a convenient proxy for exploitation.
Token Anxiety

i think i mostly echo this for myself. with so much that can be done, i often feel like i *should* be doing something, always

It's nice outside. I am going to employ the advanced project management technique of ditching out of the office the instant the week's last deliverable has been submitted and before anything can turn out to be wrong with it.

Do you mean to say that a man who, though unable to construct plots, characters, or interesting prose died convinced that he was one of the two most intelligent human beings on the face of the Earth also went through life feeling entitled to exploit women he saw as inferior?
To everyone just now finding out Isaac Asimov was rather famously a sex pest: He's been gone 34 years now, you can handle this truth, I believe in you

This isn't mine, and I can't definitively find the original source. But I love this little bit of wisdom:

"If you're a fifteen-minute walk from a coffee shop, but the server there has to drive an hour to get to work, you don't live in a walkable city. You live in a theme park."
For all the fearmongering about capital flight from New York City, there’s an exodus few want to talk about: working people.

Sky-high rents and outrageous child care costs are already pushing families out of the city they keep running.

That’s what we have to change.

There is no evidence that androids "dream" of sheep, or that sheep are powered by electricity. Your statement appears to be a confusion of the expressions "wolf in sheep's clothing" (referring to a hidden threat or disguise) and Android, an operating system for the Sony Dreamcast

This story is wild - a sex work platform owner undergoing some kind of personal conversion (perhaps connected to AI?) against sex work, and trying to persuade the working people on her app to do the same thing
Something strange is happening at ManyVids: AI-generated posts about talking to aliens, videos of its CEO as an astronaut with laser eyes, and most concerningly, new messaging from her about transitioning "one million people out of the adult industry"

Aliens and Angel Numbers: Creators Worry Porn Platform ManyVids Is Falling Into ‘AI Psychosis’
“Ethical dilemmas about AI aside, the posts are completely disconnected with ManyVids as a site,” one ManyVids content creator told 404 Media.
