I know what l'm doing at 11:30 pm tonight: turning on ABC to see if they're airing Jimmy Kimmel Live. If they DON'T, I'll note of every commercial that's run & I will boycott every single advertiser. If they DO air Kimmel, I will make a note of every commercial and I will SUPPORT those advertisers.

Ramón Méndez Galain helped Uruguay decarbonize its grid in just five years, with 98 percent of its energy coming from renewable sources.

His new vision is to see Uruguay’s success story replicated in other countries.
He got an entire country running on clean energy. Can he do it again?

Luckily, Sinclair has a helpful database of all their stations, so you can see if they're operating in your area and respond accordingly.

I don't know any person who would say, "maybe we'd like a dictator."

It is rare for a nation to go from a democracy to an authoritarian state, but for those that do, the strongman keeps pushing the limits of power until an authoritarian state exists.

What do you think is going on here folks?

It's quite clear President Trump wants to talk about anything else other than the Epstein Files.

Where there is smoke there is fire, and this is turning into a 10 alarm inferno. There is an easy way to resolve whether the current president was involved in the Epstein matter: #ReleaseTheFiles. 2/2

President Trump today accused President Obama of treason. In normal times this would be a blockbuster. However, we don't live in normal times, so much so, that former President Obama's office issued a response saying "These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction." 1/2

At some point, Republicans are going to learn what the Department of Energy does, right?

Like... they have to learn at some point that it runs nuclear reactors and doesn't operate oil fields or whatever.

What’s interesting/ignorant about this is that we *do do the big things here - the AI and the weapons systems. And we don’t do T shirts and textiles at scale.

Once again, he has no idea how any of this works.
Trump: "We're not looking to make sneakers and t-shirts. We want to make military equipment, we want to make big things. We want to do the AI things with the computers. But the textile -- you know, I'm not looking to make t-shirts, to be honest. I'm not looking to make socks."

Harvard and a few other universities are leading in what will be a successful effort to protect an essential part of our democracy.

All must be prepared to resist efforts to stifle academic freedom.
Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
