Hi you don’t have to post it. And you don’t have to re-post it.

And you can think about the fact that Jewish people are gonna be traumatized every single time you make us see it over and over and over and over.

You can just not post it.

🧵Topic: Seeking Illustrators/Artists from Aotearoa

Hello lovely people. We're looking at putting together a book of my Spotted posts this year. And the first thing is to find an artist!

So, if you're a kiwi artist/illustrator with commissions open, I'd love it if you could share some details (1)

Submission on the Regulatory Standards Bill by Emeritus Professor Jane Kelsey.
It articulates (quite succinctly, considering) all the many *many* ways in which this bill is terribly flawed and a betrayal of democracy & our nation.

Reposting as a reminder. Get your submission in.

You can literally write something like:

I oppose the Treaty Principles Bill because it is unjust and ripping New Zealand apart.

I recommend this bill be ditched.
There is still time New Zealand!! I can not stress how important this is. Your submission doesn’t have to be long. Your English doesn’t have to be perfect. You can submit in te reo Māori. But please just get something in by 11.59pm Tuesday, 07 January 2025.

Policy interventions can do amazing stuff. This newish analysis of the intensive Healthy Homes Initiative finds:
- 18.6% drop in hospitalisation, or about 10k/year. That's a small hospital.
- 5% drop in school absenteeism.
- Slight increase in wages.

Well, yes, if you cut 8500-10,000 public sector roles, and drive 79,000 people to leave NZ, plus give landlords a tax break, of course the tax take will be lower 🤦🏽‍♀️
This is a very simple maths equation.
