This coincided with my very first visit to Philly, which was for a job interview. I got the job, perhaps in part because I managed to *get to* the interview site!
It's been 30 years since the Blizzard of '96. Don’t bet against an encore some winter soon.
Philly’s biggest snows typically are generated by nor’easters that import moist air from the Atlantic, where sea-surface temperatures have been above normal.

I’ve been in a foul mood all day today—since realizing that KAYO and KAYOING, despite being fine words, wouldn’t play in the NYT Spelling 🐝. Hmph.

👇This bit is incorrect. A “century year” (e.g., 1700, 1800, 1900, 2000, 2100, 2200) will always be evenly divisible by four. They’re only leap years if they’re evenly divisible by 400 (e.g., 1600, 2000, 2400).
