The other event that I think made my brain shit down the dream-machine for a while was from when I was 3, and I've told myself the story ever since:
I was sleeping in a crib converted into a tiny bed at the time, and didn't realize I was even dreaming (always bad)..

I saw Twilight Zone's "The Eye of the Beholder" episode when I was twelve, and instead of a thought-provoking art piece on the nature of beauty, I got disturbing imagery that did not help little boy with ADHD go to sleep :D

I saw Twilight Zone's "The Eye of the Beholder" episode when I was twelve, and instead of a thought-provoking art piece on the nature of beauty, I got disturbing imagery that did not help little boy with ADHD go to sleep :D

What fictional creature/villain traumatized you as a child?
Fun story, mine was from The Muppet Christmas Carol. I was so scared by the image of Scrooge walking menacingly at the beginning that I couldn't watch anymore and had to frantically get my parents to turn it off.

I think that the fact that women's pants still often don't have usable pockets (or any pockets at all) might be the best proof that capitalism doesn't work. In a free market, this problem should have been identified and resolved.
Does anyone have any idea why this has failed?

So I just got a wrist surgery done on the same day that #arc_raiders dropped, so I basically can't play and video games that aren't primarily clicking. It's a little frustrating.

So tonight my friends and I will be finishing a year-long Star Wars rog campaign, where I will be:
Driving a hovering with an automatic grenade-launcher turret duct-taped to the top.
Wearing an invisibility and silence-bubble generating suit of armor.
And Quadruple weilding China lakes.
I am excited

In TTRPG you (the player) are not an audience to the story, but a character who lives in the story world and has the ability to influence it (if your GM does it right).
This would make the definition of “good story” different.

I actually don't think ttrpgs are the best medium if what you're actually after is a "good story". The structure's wrong; it's the same reason a "good play" is more likely to arise from scriptwriting than improv. Good storytelling takes more control than the medium allows.
