I received a bill from Brown Urology on Nov. 26. Just today, Dec. 6, I received a letter from a collections agency for that bill. WTF. When I do freelance work for Brown University they routinely take 60 days to pay me.

There will be elections in the way Russia has elections. Delegitimized, opposition candidates in jail, voters harassed. They will attempt this, but their success is far from certain.
If they weren’t planning on having elections, they wouldn’t be putting so much effort into rigging them.

“Shutdown” is a misnomer. It's wage theft and cruelty. ICE continues to be paid, the harassment continues unabated. Taxes are being collected, golf trips are happening.
