Historian, author, rust belt enjoyer
I grew up a @clebrowns.bsky.social fan during the Kosar era and was heartbroken when they left for Baltimore. Plundering taxpayer funds for $600 million while our state libraries are defunded and our public schools can't bus students is worse than anything Art Modell did.

I've never seen this level of anxiety and fear in my profession. Lives are being destroyed because of a self-destructive political vendetta.

2/4. The entire practice of the Holocaust of the Jews involved zones of statelessness. It is easier to move people away from law than it is to remove law from people. Almost all of the killing took place in artificially created stateless zones.

My first book is on LibGen and I'm thankful. The publisher decided to not issue a second printing and the price has doubled. LibGen is making scholarship far more accessible and should be protected.

Not sure if this is piercing the political noise, but H5N1 has been identified in wild geese, ducks, rats, chickens on factory farms as well as backyard flocks, cattle, and even indoor house cats. It is in the food supply and can spread on the wind over a distance of five miles. 1/2
