I somehow missed this album track from Let's Active when it came out in 1988. And y'know, today it sounds surprisingly fresh, not out of place at all in a 2026 AAA playlist, and more sophisticated than their earlier Cypress era.

Just like how the 1975 movie "Network" crossed from satire into reality, the 2004 mockumentary "C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America" is becoming more real every day. A highly recommended watch, but a highly uncomfortable one as well.

Well, I got back on the bike for 26 miles, first time since the oral surgery. Ride was chilly and mostly OK, but since there were complications from the procedure, I've got at least another month of visits (including one tomorrow morning), so we'll see what happens next. Here, have a selfie.

This is an excellent thread about The Current Situation and one coping strategy for ... not getting over it, not resolving it, not accepting it, not denying it ... but *surviving* it, because that's all many of us can reasonably hope to do.

Today, and not for the first time, I’ve felt off.
