Hockey, Scotch and music fan (Springsteen, the Ramones, The Hip, etc). My politics lean left but I can respect conservatives, want nothing to do with MAGA. Habscast and Recrutes.ca contributor.
It was a long day: had a fantastic big brunch with my family, drove two hours to go visit my mom at her long-term care facility (unfortunately she may have Covid), drove 90 minutes to get back home and then helped my daughter set-up the kitchen (she is having a few friends over for a later supper).

I think Cootes-Desnoyer-O’Reilly could be a good shutdown line against other teams top lines

Why is Team Canada going through metal detectors on the way to the rink? :)

Pourquoi est-ce qu’équipe Canada doit passer par des détecteurs de métal pour aller sur la patinoires? :)

Good first period for Habs prospect
L.J. Mooney of team USA. He is showing that he’s not only looking to shine with the puck but he’s willing to work hard defensively using his speed to create turnovers and blocking shots when needed.

Team USA getting a bit careless defensively.
Habs prospect Carlos Handel with an assist on the Germany goal.

Boxing Day shopping. Kill me now!😢
December 26, 2025 at 6:56 PM
My daughter’s friend had to cancel her Boxing Day shopping trip so I had to step in. 😫

Next year, I am asking Santa for a broken leg.
Woke up to this so…merry freaking Christmas everyone!! 😡

Between illnesses, home repairs, laptop breaking down and the first Christmas without my mom (she did not pass away but she had to be admitted in a long term care facility), this has been the most exhausting Christmas ever.

I decided to be selfish and got to bed at 8:30pm.

Anyone recommend a good computer repair shop near verdun?

I am on baby-sitting duties today. She specifically asked for “Unka Rick”!

Can’t say no to that.:)

One team wanted to win it in the alley; the other wanted to win it on the ice. And without a good goalie early, braun may have won it.

Also, what each player, the coach, the GM wants for Christmas as I have a bit of fun in this Call Of The Wilde for Global Montreal.

Call of the Wilde: Montreal Canadiens withstand barrage to take 6-2 win Boston - Montreal | Globalnews.ca
The Canadiens tried to win this one with talent, while the Bruins tried to win it with brawn. Brian Wilde has more on Tuesday night's Montreal-Boston matchup.

Goals by Bolduc, Caufield and Suzuki.

Triples slump broken. 🤣
December 24, 2025 at 2:33 AM
Boston Bruins playing dumb hockey tonight. They can’t blame anyone but themselves
December 24, 2025 at 2:30 AM
Caufield may play a bit better without a piano in his back
December 24, 2025 at 2:27 AM
Hab have to scores just to watch the spectators implode!!:)
December 24, 2025 at 2:23 AM
That is not a goal.

(Going against all my natural instincts)
December 24, 2025 at 2:22 AM
I said that the Habs should take Bolduc off the first line. MSL doesn’t do that and he scores.

Alway go against my natural instincts
December 24, 2025 at 2:21 AM
I think I would consider Replacing Bolduc with Anderson on the first line for the 3rd period. They have not had much success in the past as a trio but it would’ve good to shake things up.

As per @habsenthusiast.bsky.social ,

“Great game from Zharovsky today! He took FO on his off side and started shifts in the D zone too. Here are his stats:
- 14:31 TOI
- 04:26 PP
- 1 Goal
- 38% FOW (8 taken)”

December 23, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Coaching is not responsible for the Toronto Maple Leafs record IMO. I just think it's not a very good team. They have 4 excellent forwards, the rest are bottom line players, and an average group at defense at best. They are not that much better than their record indicates.
