I draw monsters, fantasy stuff and cartoons compulsively and share them here fairly regularly. IDK if these are my best pieces, but they seem to be pretty popular. I also seem to be fascinated by pumpkin-headed dudes.

OMG: “The healthy baby boy was born through natural birth early Monday at 1:38 a.m., standing at birth at 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 139 pounds… While it was a natural birth, zoo staffers were on hand and created a soft-landing area to cushion the calf’s 6-foot drop during delivery.”
In good news, a little one was born in Utah🦒

There’s good, then there’s really really good. Chris is really really good.

Just finished @karenhao.bsky.social ‘s excellent book Empires of AI. It’s a deep dive into the ugly underbelly of OpenAI. Particularly eye opening was the sections on how people of the global South are horribly exploited doing content moderation and other taxing tasks for pennies a day.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.
