I’m 63. I suspect those born in western democracies within several years of me (+/-) have experienced the best years of human existence. I credit FDRs New Deal for much of this - the ND laid the foundation for the creation of a ‘middle class’, the 1st time in history that a majority of citizens 1/?

We just dug 1’ of earth, wood chips & chicken shit out of our 10’ x 20’ chicken coop. Have to install a new ‘subfloor’ to prevent predators from getting in. When we finished I came in & blew my nose. It was a combination of earth, wood chips & chicken shit.

This aligns well with data from Finland, early in the pandemic. Kids born to mom’s who’d had Covid, especially in the 3rd tm had significant increased risk of developmental delays, even reduced brain size.

Mass General Brigham studied 18,124 births and found that children exposed to maternal COVID-19 in the womb had a 29% higher risk of neurodevelopmental diagnoses by age 3, especially if exposure happened in the third trimester or in male children.

Seeing TV ads for whole body MRI as a means of looking for asymptomatic, early pathology. I completely get the idea that many people will think this is a good idea. It’s not, it’s a terrible idea. This is bad medical practice, and nearly the worst of privatized medicine.
