Retired. Proud grandfather. Positive. Hold contrarian views sometimes. CFC for life. Illustrator (mainly cartoons & caricatures). In the political wilderness so appreciate all opinions. No interest in the left or the right just how things are in my view.
Too surreal to ignore.....

Free speech is tampered with on both the far left and the far right. Only those of us in the centre truly believe in it. Also those of us in the centre know what hate speech is and what isn't.

24 hours with plenty of views and not one like or agreed comment.

Same on X.

Says a lot about both platforms.

Oh well, it was heart felt and worth a try..... 😅

We’re looking after my daughter’s little dog who shot out of the room when Caicedo scored to put Chelsea 2-1 up against Brentford when both my son and I jumped out of our armchairs and in unison screamed YYEESSS!!

It took half an hour to find out where she’d gone to hide and not come out.

Come over to BlueSky they advised. It’s not toxic like X!

Foolishly I believed them.

I suppose I’m naive to think the toxic vile far left and far right can be kept out of any of them. They can only survive by replenishing their bile on faceless online platforms.

Lesson learned.

The Oxford Union.
“Bastion of free speech” their motto. Yet here we are today about to elect this hypocrite celebrating the death of someone he lost a debate to. The toxic left the true violent bigots as we have seen today on this platform.
RIP Charlie Kirk who truly was a bastion of free speech 🙏
The president-elect of the Oxford Union appeared to celebrate the death of Charlie Kirk, the right-wing activist and ally of President Trump, months after debating with him at the university
Oxford Union’s new president ‘celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death’
George Abaraonye wrote ‘Charlie Kirk got shot, let’s go’ in a WhatsApp group after the ally of President Trump was fatally wounded in Utah on Wednesday

I never wholly agreed with Charlie Kirk but the sick jubilant reaction to his assassination on this platform just confirms to me that BlueSky is as much a toxic cesspit as X.

🚨Exclusive: Chelsea winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is set to sign a new contract when he turns 17.

Four goals in a single match over the international break, top clubs had looked to poach him like Ngumoha but star looks set to stay.💫

While Glastonbury was this weekend awash with support for Palestine, there was little if any recognition of the 378 people massacred by those Palestinians of Hamas at the Nova music festival in Israel on October 7, 2023. I’ll never get my head around that #BringThemHomeNow

Trizia Fiorellino was a wonderful Chelsea supporter who started The Chelsea Supporters Group 20 years ago which is still helping supporters today. She tragically left us over 5 years ago. Happy heavenly birthday to her and she has probably started a CSG up there too 🙏💙
