I used FOI laws to get hold of a NSW regulator’s review, which found the New South Wales's native logging industry is not "economically viable" and the state government should consider shutting it down after 2028 if its prospects don’t improve. Read more:

20 years today since woodchipping giant Gunns Limited filed a mammoth lawsuit against the Gunns 20.

The bravery and gumption of the defendants and those that supported them through this five year long attack can never be understated.

When hearing talk about the need to protect the Tasmanian salmon industry, just remember this is not a local-owned industry. It is dominated by foreign-owned companies.

The profits go offshore, and they don’t pay tax here.

But the environmental damage very much happens here.
