Comfort… Heroin gives comfort too but it’s not necessarily a good thing. Knowing what is good, better or best for you is the whole point of life. Most people are deficient in that area seeking false hope and comfort.
I’m frequently told by theists how their faith gives them comfort.
I just cannot find “comfort” in denial and self-delusion.
Growing up, I was active in my United Methodist church, and my high school’s Young Life chapter, but after a while, I just could not reconcile their rhetoric with reality.

Comfort… Heroin gives comfort too but it’s not necessarily a good thing. Knowing what is good, better or best for you is the whole point of life. Most people are deficient in that area seeking false hope and comfort.

Attending college in Louisiana in the 80's I got to meet plenty of religiou$ folk. Mentally they were already Trumplings & MAGAsses, just called themselves Southern Baptist back then.

Christians selfishness in this matter in trying to create a Christian theocracy of America just shows their inability to critically think and realize that the only way to guarantee freedom of religion and from religion is to guarantee that no religion is state sponsored. But this takes reason!
