Even before the correction, I read it as a story of a privileged couple connected to people that could influence the situation and get her out faster. Most of us, do not have those connections.

If there comes a day when police put their bodies between the feds with guns and their targets, I will praise the police for doing so. I don’t expect to see that day. It might even be a dangerous escalation. But until that day comes … I assume they are helping the feds.
