This is what many of us have been saying. Part 3 of the Planning & Infrastructure Bill is based on a myth: that we don't have enough homes because wildlife and green spaces are protected. It will solve nothing, and inflict terrible harm on our remaining ecosystems

I swear every Labour Party comms piece just reads as ’beep boop we’re soulless droids’
The UK should always be a place where people can take refuge and shelter, but that cannot continue to happen unless order is restored. It’s not about self interest or votes, but about the change the government was elected to deliver.

Nothing going on here that can’t be explained by “They are awful, terrible people who would all be back in PR and the law right now, had it not been for their media mates stomping their enemies for them then all but bodily throwing them into Number Ten”.

THANK YOU. Immigration is not why your life is shit, but media is determined to parrot that it is, and Labour are now all in on the race to the bottom because they don’t care about you. Please reject these utter ghouls, who left their spines in the palms of their corporate lobbyists months ago.

Medical Republic: 'Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint'

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

This last part in particular is so poorly understood. Part of winning an election is “appealing to your lot”, part is “not upsetting or terrifying the other lot”.
Starmer is disliked by ~75% of the electorate. Newsflash: that includes quite a lot of Labour voters- and, crucially, those who may have voted for other parties or stayed at home but were comfortable with Labour winning.

Ricky is spot on; never accept this argument. Until we stop being held hostage to two party system threats, we’ll never see the kinder world we know is possible. It‘s also increasingly untrue in polls that voting Labour will keep Reform out, and it’s because they’re cosplaying as them like this.
This is political blackmail dressed up as pragmatism. Justifying their nasty policies with “Reform will be worse”.

This condescension from mainstream ‘journalists‘ that have no appreciation for the every day person‘s plight needs to be firmly rejected. You do not have to accept the U.K. in its current state, and a better world is possible, as much as they don’t want you to believe so.
And today it's the turn of The Times to try and patronise us all.

Every single day the right wing establishment tries to close ranks.

And every day we are growing.

I find it so utterly disheartening that people’s trauma and distress gets framed through the lens of T.V. cliffhangers and clickbait. Most media continues to fail us in the U.K.

There was a time when I'd have cared deeply about the BBC.

But they adopted a deliberate policy of kowtowing to the right, backing away from every fight, believing compliance would protect the license fee, and the right would leave them alone.

Stand up to bullies, or get knocked down by reality.

That feels right: as far as I can tell, the average Labour member and a lot of their councillors are basically well meaning dorks who want people to have it a bit easier, and they didn’t sign up to be screamed at like they’re in Full Metal Jacket by the worst, most repellent people in Britain.
Is the Labour Party splitting?
Councillor Steve Battlemuch explains how the Government’s policy failings, combined with the national Party’s factional interference in local contests, is fracturing Labour in Nottinghamshire. Nott…
