I don't want people to lose their health care. But it's pretty damn important that my "children" (adults, now, that work full time & still need SNAP) & my grand children don't go without food either! We've spent all our rent & utility money on food for them, & hit up food banks, what now?

More info has come out since this post & this is not a good thing. I guess I was so anxious for this shutdown to be over because my family is going without food. My grandchildren are suffering & there's not much we can do. We've spent rent & utility money & hit up food banks. This has to stop SOON.

There are no easy (or acceptable) answers, just as there's no point, nothing to be gained in holding out to negotiate with people who have made it clear that they'll destroy anything & everything rather than make any compromise. You make a deal with someone who won't make a deal.
