The person from that youtube channel a few people watch.
Given the incredibly low pixel count, there is a surprising amount of character to the animation.

Well technically not a dvd but a laserdisc box set of the 3 original starwars films (not special edition), £60 about 12 years ago. Goodness only knows what it would be now, laserdisc prices went nuts.

I think we could do with some legislation over job listings/adverts. For example, a requirement to list the salary for any post, and if it has a salary range, then a restriction on how wide that range can be. We also need restrictions preventing list a job as remote, then requiring in office.

If it's unpaid, then its not even a job. They need to find a volunteering website and list it there, and not on job sites.

My feed is getting more channels that fit that description, I know YT will never provide me a feature to block channels produced by an LLM, but I really want it.

The first festival gig of the year I'm doing has now officially been announced www.holmfirthfestivaloffolk.co.uk

I'm sorry to hear that. It's a lot to deal with, especially in such a short time frame. Hopfully this marks the point where things start to get easier.

There was enough hardware todo a decent port of doom, I'm guessing budget and a need to just get it out the door must have been significant factors in how it ended up the way it did. The audio thing just feels like the testing must have been minimal at best.

I love what an oddball architecture it is, with a cpu for almost every occasion. I have found myself wondering what it would be like to develop software for it.

I always felt like Sega tied one hand behind the Saturn's back, before shoving it out into the market. Luckily we have yesterzine to explore how things went for the Saturn via the medium of one of the big Sega Mags of the time.
It's not looking good for the Saturn, its most famous magazine is dying. There is hope though, EA have a new Strike game and finally the machine is getting the FPS legend, Doom.

It's too late for Mean Machines Sega, but is it too late for the Sega Saturn?

It could do Doom but it didn't.

Happy birthday. Your "is now as old as" posts always make me feel my increasing age. I think I might have my next birthday party in a crypt for efficiency sake.

We used to laugh at the idea of the bathroom police, the fact that one of the states is now trying to make it a reality is very difficult to get your head around.

Apart from one failed part in a Sony TV (which I could easily replace), I've not had a TV die on me in the last 20 years.

Its feasible to create coper wire with the tools and materials of the time. You can then produce coils etc. Which gets you generators and motors, and transformers.

The bulb filament would not have a particularly long life, and it would not be as bright, as we had not discovered tungsten, or argon gas. However the original filament was carbon coated silk thread, and the bulb was a partial vacuum. That could be done.

Getting some basic electricial equipment made would be feasible. Simple lead acid batteries are not complex to make, even if you have to use glass or ceramics to hold the acid. You could probably also build a primitive light bulb, motor, and generator working. The materials would be available.

So LG's big idea is to bring back the business model of Radio Rentals, a business that closed down 26 years ago ?
