Every mention of SNAP being frozen should include this simple fact:

TRUMP is CHOOSING TO CANCEL FOOD ASSISTANCE. There are literally emergency dollars available to keep SNAP funded.

While the feds continue to play stupid games, SNAP recipients are set to lose food aid for the next month. In the Bay Area, a growing number of restaurants are stepping up to help, and we're maintaining the list. Share with anyone who needs it. www.coyotemedia.org/these-bay-ar...

The Obama White House posted a 360 degree tour of the White House that is still up. For folks who never got to see the East Wing before Donald Trump & JD Vance destroyed it, here's a 360 degree view of the East Wing lobby.

Trump the White House's East Wing: “It was never thought of as being much. It was a very small building, and rather than allowing that to hurt, a very expensive, beautiful building that frankly they've been after for years…In order to do it properly, we had to take down the existing structure.”

An interior shot of the historic East Wing entrance to the White House. Trump has destroyed this building in the perfect metaphor for what he is doing to the nation — destroying our democracy piece by piece.

Just spitballing. Cause it's not like there's an extraordinarily detailed authoritarian playbook that every would be dictator has employed and we could absolutely predict every one of these moves. And also clear, established, patterns to what it requires to halt this assault.

What is absolutely essential in bringing down a would be dictator is making it clear he is indeed vincible. Enter ridicule. Rinse, repeat.
If someone isn’t parking a TACO food truck outside the White House, what are we even doing with this stupid timeline!?

Maybe we need US Senators who aren’t actually rooting for you to die.
Joni Ernst, at her town hall last night.

When the crowd said people will die due to Medicaid and SNAP cuts, she said: "well we all are going to die." 🫠🫠🫠🫠

Rachel Maddow is right: History shows us how to resist tyranny—not just big moments like WWII, but recent ones too—Poland's Solidarity movement, Navalny’s courage. The lesson? Don’t wait. Protest.

Vote. Call. Write. Show up. Small actions, repeated, change everything.

Democracy depends on you.

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

Now is a great time to reach out to your member of Congress who promised not to cut Medicaid.

Or to your conservative friends who don't think we should be exploding the debt.

Because today, Donald Trump met with Republicans on Capitol Hill, trying to pass a bill that would do both.

Trump is trying to fix the rules so he gets to rule forever; following the authoritarian playbook to the letter:

- harass or co-opt the press
- weaken the lawyers
- silence universities and student protest
- cut off funding for the opposition

But we won’t let him win.

If anyone out there was undecided on whether Trump is operationalizing a precise, coordinated plan to destroy our democracy so he can rule until he dies, the move to shut down Act Blue, the primary way Democrats’ campaigns are funded, should be the final proof point.
