Again, why do they dress like a band of highwaymen instead of a properly constituted police force? They’re inside the security envelope of a public courthouse.
Here's a picture that a @kuow.org photographer took in Seattle yesterday, showing the ICE officers masked up in the hallways as they waited to arrest people coming out of their hearings.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

one thing that Booker repeatedly references is the fact that US citizens are now terrified of their president. he keeps reading the letters of constituents who are really scared of the people in power—especially of losing their benefits, but there's something deeper and commonly felt.

Padilla: By the time the water was released, the fires were already contained. There was no way that water could even make its way to Southern California.

When the hot, dry months come and farmers need that water for irrigation, it’ll be gone. And you can’t get it back.

What did America's largest corporations do with their spoils from Trump's tax scam? Between 2017 and 2022:

-Stock buybacks jumped 98%
-Dividends increased by 40%
-Meanwhile, wages only grew by 14%

In some years these corporations paid their CEOs more than they paid in taxes.

New: New wave of terminations today at FDA. People arrived this morning and found out while waiting in line to go through security that they no longer worked there. A common pattern with DOGE: planning to maximize humiliation/disrespect.

New info on top officials who were put on leave after refusing DOGE access to DOI payroll systems.

DOGE wanted unprecedented, expansive access to multiple systems. How expansive? Enough to let operatives, for example, stop Supreme Court justices’ paychecks.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) has been speaking on the Senate floor since 7 p.m. Monday, vowing to speak for “as long as I’m physically able” to protest President Donald Trump, Elon Musk and the administration’s policies.

Here’s what to know.
Why did Cory Booker spend the night speaking on the Senate floor?
The New Jersey Democrat is speaking in protest of the Trump administration’s policies. He is not delaying the Senate from a vote, so it is not a filibuster.

Things Democratic Senators could do that would be useful:

- Withdraw unanimous consent from all Senate business until constitutional rule was restored

- Refuse to vote for any legislation until constitutional rule was restored

- Boycott as a caucus until constitutional rule was restored
