A thing that irks me the most about AI supporters is their lack of understanding about AI financially. Sure, you're getting it on the cheap now, but do you realize how much AI companies are losing each year? Those losses are going to fall on someone's shoulders eventually and it could be you.

Being a creator is not unlike being one of those folks who like really tough games like Dark Souls. Even if individual parts of the process suck (backgrounds! cars! mfing feet!) when you come out on the other side and can go 'yeah, *I* did that' feels some days like climbing Everest

I always felt this way about networking as an artist. I only reach out to other artists when I'm genuinely interested in their art. It feels icky to me when I'm encouraged to connect with mutuals in my field for opportunistic reasons.
