I'd a bit of a sad this evening (I know what causes it), but finally found a book I could settle in, and Brandy also made a brief visit.

Some pics from yesterday, when I thought it a fine idea to walk from the Ormeau Road to home. Once I figured out it was not a fine idea, I was too far in & committed.

'Civilization has slid “into a pile of its own ordure” in Bryn Hammond’s “The Change”. The story introduces Goatskin, who has walked for twenty years from China to Persia in the wake of Tchingis Khan.'

The dilemma, how much of the "boring" (?) stuff can you farm out without losing touch with the process / disengage with your creation?
I'd rather edit the previous draft of my book rather than typing the new draft afresh, but it's how I keep my hands on the text.
A.I. can it ever be used to compliment human creators? I have been on digital courses. It's gonna change work forever. Creator will draft the prompts, the content details. AI produces doc/Ppoint/video. The creator review, refine and finalise. Escape or embrace the future? #ai #writers #authors #SFF

One of those songs that I come back to at times, as a reminder of what once was, and must not be again.

Gonna have to repeat this mantra to myself:
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink, and when the horse starts kicking, back off.

I backed off, but not before finding myself at that particular well again. (Yes, vague blogging).

Nice remembrance of Gene Colan.
Even as a kid I saw there was something really special about his work, and that was many years before I encountered his Dracula.
About time to dig out those Tomb of Dracula omnibuses again!

The Greg Hatcher Legacy Files #318: 'A Friday Memorial to a Master' ⋆ Atomic Junk Shop
When Gene Colan died, Greg took some time to tell a charming story about him and to reminisce about some of his favorite stuff by Colan!

A very reluctant 5.5k evening run done. It was wet and cold all day, but finally runner's guilt forced me out. The red light is from the special wildlife friendly lighting on the Greenway - there are foxes, badgers, bats (though all seldom seen).

"What are you reading?"
Katherine May's 'Wintering', and listening to cozy records on the record player.

As I'm comfort watching, I just finished Hammer's "The Reptile".
- For once, a meaty role for Michael Ripper.
- The kitten is okay.

The Hulk, but (a bit) more realistic:
His colour on hulking out is the effect of massive tissue trauma - the colour of a big bruise, starting out grey then turning green.
Banner's real name is David; Bruce (Bruise) is a childhood nickname...

I'm watching "This Gun for Hire", with Veronica Lake as the female lead.
She isn't a great actress, but...

Since every lie is an admission for this lot, we can safely assume that the Trump Ear Shot was a false flag operation!

Decent afternoon run...
Still started off going too quickly so didn't have much left at the end of it. Happy to have done a bit along the river.

Still a couple of Belfast people who should be ashamed of themselves. Matinee and early evening screening this Saturday.

I am seriously cheesed off, but whatever I write here I delete again as "nope, nothing good can come off this."
So there we are.
Early bed, I think.
