@memia.bsky.social you don’t think this is a competitive attempt to usurp Starlink/Elon?

IMPORTANT: Finland is building the world’s largest heat pump to warm homes in Helsinki. It would decarbonize the city’s district heating system by end of 2026.

“Helsinki has set the ambitious goal to become carbon neutral by 2030, and transitioning our heating system is crucial to achieving this.”

I can't make a big enough deal of #Cambodia's electrification rate. Staggering.

20 years ago, 13% of villages were connected - amongst lowest rate in the World. Today, 99% of villages are connected and more are coming.

For all the challenges this country faces, that's a lot of lives transformed.

I grew up wanting beachside property because I was so lucky to enjoy access to so many beaches and bays in Aucklands North Shore of New Zealand. But man, expectedly rising sea levels make that a whole lot less enticing!!
Só que essas áreas são muito vulneráveis a eventos extremos vindos do mar. Esse vídeo aqui foi em Tenerife em 2018 (um pouco antes dessa loucura que estamos vivendo agora) +
