This hasn‘t been my experience at all. People, especially women of a certain age, are pretty nice to my kids even on the T
After you have a kid in Boston, two child free people stand outside your home unblinking until you finally have to leave for something. At which point they begin loudly complaining about how they can't go anywhere without kids annoying them and giving you passive aggressive glances until you move.

wrong. living in New York City is about frantically swiping your metrocard as your train arrives, repeatedly getting an error, and in the span of a half second evaluating whether you still have the athleticism to jump a turnstile. if you don’t like that then move to fucking Boston.
the amount of sad you should feel about the retirement of the NYC Metrocard should be like “mildly wistful pre-nostalgia” — more than that, IMO, is kinda silly
