Best closer I ever saw! We knew the minute he came in, the game was over. And high fives were off the chart, as well!
In December of 2012 the Red Sox sign Koji Uehara as a FA , one of the best signings in their history. In 2013 he goes 4-1 with a 1.09 ERA, a 379 ERA+, 21 Saves and a 3.5 WAR. In the postseason in 13 games he has a 0.66 ERA with 7 Saves. Overall in 4 yrs with the Sox he has 79 Saves with a 2.19 ERA.

Hate to say it, but I think the Red Sox need a new voice. Get him in the Post Season and I think there's very few that are better (maybe none)! Ik roster construction/injuries do not help, but damn my favorite team is so mid & not sure what else to do. RA by himself isn't going to save this team.

IF Casas is out for the rest of the year, I can't help but think he probably left a lot on the table. 2 consec yrs missed and value will be super hard to recoupe. Should've negotiated a contract when the Red Sox were trying to give him a bag. Plus, trade value 📉. That said, if it's not the case 🙏🏽!

Giolito looks close, but the Sox are also close. Close to getting an additional year, if he doesn't hit 140 innings. Also, don't think he's a better option than Dobbins (now) or Dick Fitts (soon). These things always have a way of working themselves out. Good problem to have.

Good thing this dry spell is happening in early April and not during Sept. Pitching is taking shape and when the bats wake up again, it will be glorious! No need to panic, it's still early.
