My old RC drone controller has a broken screen (wasn't my fault). I thought I would have trouble finding an original part, and indeed it's pretty much impossible to get one new, but I may have found a silver lining!
I'm pretty sure it uses a generic 4.3" LCD panel. But idk how to be 100% sure? 1/3

Anyone else had to deal with hex/binary values in Python and found it confusing? Like, why would it store a number as a decimal when you formatted it like a hex/binary?
It just doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps it's a gremlin found in other interpreted languages as well?

#Linux nerds, help me out here! I am trying to give a good ending to a PC with a single core 32 bit VIA C7M CPU. Performance on the distros I tried is terrible, since it's pinned at 100% CPU usage all the time pretty much. I tried Mageia, Puppy and LMDE, all of which ran slow. CPU running cool. 1/4

Small upgrade on my current workhorse! Added some more fans from my brother's computer which I swapped on his for some reverse blade fans I got for cheap. It looks decent, but your eyes don't deceive you - that's a 9 year old GTX 1050 in there! Still kickin' for university work, so can't complain.

New homelab milestone today! I was successful at integrating my home assistant VM with running my smart appliances locally. Both wi-fi enabled ACs in my home, a smart outlet, a robot vacuum and even the data logger for the inverter of my home's solar farm, all connected and free from the cloud!
