Absolute pleasure to contribute to this @cp-trendsecolevo.bsky.social paper out yesterday, cooked up at the Species on the Move (SOTM) Conference in 2023.

Takeaway: species on the move under climate change can move along many gradients and dimensions, at multiple scales!

Reimagining species on the move across space and time
Climate change is already leaving a broad footprint of impacts on biodiversity, from an individual caterpillar emerging earlier in spring to dominant plant communities migrating poleward. Despite the ...

Last year I published a paper showing how many threatened species are lacking documented conservation actions. New paper just out and led by @ashsimkins.bsky.social shows that when conservation interventions *are* in place, it works!
*Positive news* Despite global declines in biodiversity, we find conservation has driven improvements in >100 species. This suggests with greater resource allocation to more species, conservation can halt and reverse biodiversity loss! First PhD paper: doi.org/10.1371/jour...
