On this day in 2016, Phyllis Schlafly died. She blocked ERA ratification in the 70s & 80s, in part by denying the persistence of discrim against women. Here’s an article where I explore how Schlafly created a playbook that anti-feminists have followed since. #WeTheMen

It is amazing to watch my youngest child fall in love with history. He is home sick today and all he wants to do is talk about the American Revolution. He is 9 and already eager to understand cause and effect relationships. Watching a child grow into their sense of self is wonderful.

Had a huge, giant panic attack. Several hours. Have not had one that bad in a long time. Completely lost it. Starting to come back to feeling okay. Lots of tears. Horrible headache now. Amazing how my brain can switch to utter self-destruct mode when it is triggered by something.

On this day in 1992, the Supreme Ct. heard oral argument in Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Casey ultimately agreed w/ Roe that states could not prohibit abortion before viability. That protection remained in place until 2022, when Dobbs rolled back women’s rights by overturning Roe & Casey. #WeTheMen
