HUGE thanks to Jennifer Griffin and The Horror Tree for this wonderful review of my most recent collection, THE HAUNTINGS BACK HOME, with foreword and 13th story by Jonathan Gensler (published by Undertaker Books; cover by Ruth Anna Evans Cover Design). Five out of five crows: achievement unlocked!

Thanks so much to @katsilvaauthor.bsky.social for this generous review of SIX O'CLOCK HOUSE & OTHER STRANGE TALES, out from @watertowerhill.bsky.social !!
There's a longing for release and redemption in each of these stories. @rebeccacuthbert.bsky.social's way of weaving the past into the present miseries of her protagonists makes each tale a premonition in forbidden malice. There's something for everyone in this collection; you should read it.

I had the pleasure of reading an early(ish) version of @kathleenpalm.bsky.social's 3rd Gray book that might not be out for a bit since 2 isn't out yet.

But that might be for the best, because you're not ready for it. I wasn't ready for it 😢😢

The final story…”Damp in the Walls”. That dampness, a symptom of badness lurking in the shadows. I enjoyed all the stories in Six O’ Clock House and Other Strange Tales by @rebeccacuthbert.bsky.social . Strange being the key. I like strange.

From a Netgalley review of SIX O'CLOCK HOUSE & OTHER STRANGE TALES (****):

"Cuthbert’s writing is excellent and often adopts a unique clipped rhythm that works just right, an expert no-frills prose experience that pushes the reader effortlessly deep into each story."
