Pat McFadden: The Prime Minister "should carry on with what he's doing".
Like staggering from self-made crisis to self-made crisis, genuflecting to the far right, shitting on minorities, etc., etc., etc.

Early stroll. Gatherings of enigmatic shadows. Ghost miners work beneath my feet. I have a walk-on part in the morning. This is where Keith Barlow dropped that bottle, decades ago. In the distance a dog sends a voice note.

Yeah, I've been following the UK assisted dying debate, but I'm very unhappy about the form it's taking. The safeguards against it being misused by bad actors are not strong enough.

This is a fantastic idea. I'm very fond of Goldsworthy's work.
If you ever get the chance, watch the documentary Rivers and Tides: Working with Time about him.
It's an excellent watch, and the soundtrack by Fred Frith of Henry Cow is absolutely first rate.

Somnambulation. Canal bridges had many uses, enabling traffic over the water was just one obvious one. Less obvious related to these iron bars on the inside of the bridge on the towpath side. It is said that they were where amorous bargees 'notched up' their itinerant conquests..

Early stroll. A wet blackbird sings from a tree’s bare wooden stage. That house has a bright window like a brooch. A man pushes a bike up the hill, lightbeam first. Today is the feast day of St. Earlystroll. Rain’s touching story.
