The end goal of Grok sexual harassment is to make women afraid to be visible. It’s a punishment for daring to exist in a way the perpetrators can’t control. There’s no one solution to this, because the problem isn’t just technological. It’s cultural. It’s misogyny. This is just one expression of it.

hot damn, a friend informs me that his doctor apparently prescribed him a 3-day course of azithromycin (500mg/day) to take... *if* he got diarrhea when traveling, with no further diagnostics. just, "here's antibiotics, take 'em if you feel shitty". and people wonder why AZM resistance is on the rise

pretty sure this is the case given the project itself is an absolute joke architecture-wise; absolutely not capable of even remotely approaching ffmpeg's capabilities at a basic API-design level

I've been to restaurants that have signs saying there's a surcharge for foreign tourists, and then not been charged the fee because my japanese is good enough to get by (nowhere remotely close to fluent!)

"an ageless elegy" for the show title was mostly expanded to roll off the tongue a little more smoothly and fit better onscreen in the title card, while still being very obviously related to the nickname once it comes up

we pondered some options in the neighborhood of "undertaker" and "pallbearer", but the former defaults to a tough-guy interpretation (thanks to the pro wrestler) and the latter just doesn't have the right ring to it
ultimately once we got to "elegy" it was quickly very clear it was the right fit
