Sure am getting tired of seeing "ADHD" content depicting people with this condition as barely functional and often codependant.

It's insulting and infantalising and I'm like, vicariously offended because this content is so annoying.

Some of my friends have ADHD and they are doing well, y'know.

Still waiting patiently for Google Street View to interpolate their 360° photos using machine learning so we can glide between shots instead of the shoving transition.

It's been done in research situations, why not do it live? Google Maps used to be hot for innovation, now it's just ads.

Currently trying to reconstitute the original hybridized.org site from the wayback machine with help from Claude AI. Managing to succesfully extract tracklists and cuesheets so far.

Hybridized was a goldmine for progressive house and breaks back in the day, would be good to ressurect it!

Strong agree - I would have bought some of this kit over the next year as well. Very disappointing...

One thing I wish phones and tablets had was a one press shortcut to play content from streaming services from the home screen without needing to unlock.

I find menu traversal annoying and when an operation doesn't have a privacy implication it'd be good if it was instant like an old TV.

Having watched this guys incredible, insightful, entertaining and articulate explanations of everyday technology, I feel his urgent and passionate call to oppose corruption and fascism in the US essential viewing for all. (Seek to 1:02:39).

Hats off to you Alec, you're a hero for these times.

A great little video about the development of the Public Domain SID - looks like SID clones are just getting better and better, and amazingly you can buy one for €9!

Well, mind blown. I used Claude to port 8bitbubsy's amazing Fast Tracker 2 clone to WebAssembly in about two hours: rc55.github.io/ft2-clone-wa...

File loading and saving works as well. This is madness.

Slightly disconcerting how accessible voice cloning is now!

More great reporting from Digital Foundry.

Much as many outlets gripe over "fake frames", I really feel like frame interpolation is moving rapidly in the right direction - as ever a lot of it is down to implementation.

Doom Eternal showed what technology is capable of in the right hands.

Much as I try to keep my postings apolitical, I feel very anxious about what is happening with America and Greenland.

I hope stability prevails, this unfettered terror that Trump is wielding on the world and the US itself is horrific.

The sooner this era is over the better.

Finishing things up for #PicoIDE and it just about saturates the IDE bus in MWDMA mode 2. I’m pretty happy with this! It tests as fast as a 74x CD-rom drive which means there’s a bit more headroom in that mode but that could be the CPU on this K6-2 system being a bottleneck.

Really struggling to say anything good about Three at the moment, after a horrific ordeal trying to renew my contract - dropped calls, misrepresentation, overcharging, repeated correcting and painfully slow chat response, I can say they have become and unmitigated customer service disaster.

This weekend a contingent of UK Demosceners, families and friends took a trip to the @retrocollective.co.uk Museum and Arcade Archive - I have to say it was an absolute highlight and a great start to the year and I strongly recommend anyone interested to check it out! I'll do a write-up soon!

Getting back to funky days with a CP80 vs VDrum (played live) session. I'm always blown away that I can just take all the techniques I learnt in analogue studios and apply them in this odd hybrid DAW space! Old habbits: if I need to scroll vertically there's too many tracks! EQs all in a rack :-P

Just ordered a SuperStationONE (FPGA-based console) from Retro Remake - it also runs MiSTer cores and has a beautiful PSOne style aesthetic.

It's $222 delivered, but as the exchange rate from USD-GBP is good, it ends up being £170.23 which is a stonking bargain!

Check the SuperDock ($39) also!
