One thing I haven't seen addressed as far as the horrible results of the election is that this is a natural consequence of gutting the US educational and welfare support system. it's rendered people incapable of critical thinking and voting in their own interests. idk that seems like a big cause.

my coworker is sitting at his desk crying, "i have to believe americans are just too stupid because i cannot accept they are this evil" and i'm like oh buddy, we are a nation born in genocide and slavery that spent the last year profiting off the arming and minimizing of a genocide.
