Triangulum (or Pinwheel) Galaxy aka M33, a spiral galaxy about 2.7 million light years away. About 5 hours from my back yard. 2.5 more hours of images were discarded because of too much light pollution. Expand the image to see more details. 🧪

Last night's moon and a comparison of images two days apart. Compare the November 4 image (first) with the Nov. 6 image (second). The slight shadows of the just-before-full and just-after-full moon bring out details near the edges. Notice the craters near the upper right edge on Nov. 6. 🧪

Too cloudy for the full moon tonight, but here's last night's almost-full moon. If I didn't have a telescope, I'd never appreciate the color differences due to the different mineral compositions. 🧪

Northern Lagoon Nebula in the middle, Bubble Nebula in the upper right. Starry and star-reduced versions of the image. The Northern Lagoon nebula contains the largest known protostar. The open star cluster M52 is just to the right of the Bubble Nebula. 🧪

IC 5146, the Cocoon Nebula, about 4000 light years away in Cygnus. My software detected over 66,000 stars in the original image. You can also see a dark nebula that looks like a trail below the Cocoon nebula.🧪
