Was not expecting the canon, official, unquestionably gay happy ending but I am very happy about it and the fact that it is a wrinkle on a trope that Ultraman has been doing since the 70s
3. Ultraman Omega (TV series, 2025-26)
This was my first modern (i.e. newer than the 1970s) Ultraman work and while I have plenty of quibbles about the production quality and technical skill on display, I was happy to see that 60 years later Ultraman has not lost sight of what it's about. ❤️
