For a second there, I thought Westjet had launched another transatlantic route. But of course Saint John in New Brunswick isn't (anywhere near) St. John's in Newfoundland. But I hear that if you fly to Halifax you can actually drive to Australia. Or was it Austria? #AvGeek

I can't wait to see some competition for Eurostar in the Brussels to London route. The timings on these 'lowest fares' are truly awful, because god forbid that you'd continue your journey beyond London. Want more decent hours? That'll be almost 50% extra.

Seems like they got their act in order, no free trips anymore. Still a steal though, even in peak summer months.

I'm used to seeing airfares that are 'suspiciously' low and the whole discussion that follows on places like FlyerTalk. But this is something else: a 17 hour ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo for the princely sum of 0. And yes that includes a (basic) cabin. And yes, it's bookable - for several dates.

After close to 9 years, my desktop computer is getting terribly slow. But with RAM prices at ridiculous levels, an equally ridiculous trade war going on and the realisation that whatever I could buy will have a CPU from one of three American companies... it will have to do for a while longer.

Look, I'm obviously kidding here (or am I?) but there IS precedent for Denmark inviting a friendly nation to invade part of the kingdom so that it doesn't fall into the hands of a belligerent. It's how the British ended up 'occupying' the Faroe Islands. So... Canada, are you up to it? 🇨🇦🇬🇱

Notably, this isn't just for Lufthansa or the big core LHG airlines. It's a deal for ~850 aircraft across the entire group, even Air Dolomiti.

With all that's been happening, I'm thinking I should make 2026 the year I finally visit Greenland. But also that I should find a way to sound less 'American' (to non-English speakers). (And I wish I were joking about that last part).
