When I was in the Navy we were taught that, despite personal political opinions, we were to “respect the office, if not the man.”
What happens when the ‘man’ has so tainted the office with his behavior – not to mention that of his staff – that respect for the office is no longer possible?

I think the word for what we have now might well be ‘vigilantocracy’.
If we want to stop the kidnappings and these agents require anonymity to commit these actions, then we must remove the masks.
