It’s sad that some people see love and attachment as a weakness. In truth, there is no greater motivator; grand works of art have been created and bloody wars have been fought for love. Even hate and fear hold no candle to it.

This Fourth of July is a bitter one. There is still hope, there is still light, there is still humanity in this madness; but I’m not so sure the freedoms so touted by America still reside in it, hard won by soldiers dead in foreign fields and seas. I’m not so sure they ever truly did.
